Nerves & calming

Everyday life demands strong nerves. Discover our products.

Nerves and calming

For many people, daily life takes a toll, and our lives are increasingly exposed to information overload, with self-imposed demands often being very high. Strong nerves, high performance, and good concentration are what we all wish for and need.

The basic requirement for this is regular relaxation time. Because only when body and mind can relax are we efficient. Leave your phone behind and take a nice walk or engage in your hobby – but please, don't fall into leisure stress!

Of course, we should also provide our brains with the nutrients it needs to remain efficient: Enter "brain food." Particularly good sources of energy for our nerves are foods that contain complex carbohydrates, such as nuts, whole grain products, or fruits like bananas.

The popular choice of chocolate or glucose with a high content of simple sugars may cause our blood sugar levels to rise rapidly, but this state does not last long, as the blood sugar level quickly drops again. The result: sudden fatigue that significantly affects our performance.

Healthy brain food:

  • Water
  • Whole-grain products
  • Egg yolk
  • Nuts
  • Bananas
  • Offal like liver
  • Legumes
  • Fatty sea fish
  • Rapeseed or linseed oil

Our tip: Why not buy healthy and delicious trail mix – it is rich in B-vitamins, which are important for the nervous system!

Lecithin – Building Block of Nerve and Brain Membranes

"Lecithin" is the well-known term for phosphatidylcholine. It is essentially a collective term for lipids composed of fatty acids, phosphoric acid, glycerol, and choline. Lecithin is a component of all animal and plant organisms and is found in many foods such as egg yolk, nuts, soy products, or fish. For humans, it is an essential nutrient for nerves and the brain, as it is a component of membranes.

In fact, the brain has the highest lecithin content.

Vitamin B

B-vitamins play an important role in the normal interaction of the brain, nerves, and organism. The B-vitamin complex contributes as a whole to the normal energy metabolism, supports the normal function of the nervous system, and plays a role in mental performance. In addition, some B-vitamins regulate fat, carbohydrate, and protein metabolism.

Especially vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, as well as niacin and biotin contribute to the normal function of the nervous system or healthy psychological functions. Vitamin B5 contributes to mental performance.

The following 8 vitamins belong to the B-vitamin complex:

  • Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)
  • Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)
  • Vitamin B3 (Niacin)
  • Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid)
  • Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)
  • Vitamin B7 (Biotin)
  • Vitamin B9 (Folic acid)
  • Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin)

Originally, more vitamins were included in the B-vitamin complex. Later, it was realized that some of them were not vitamins. Therefore, the numbering of B-vitamins is not continuous.
